UP CLOSET & PERSONAL: CAMERON RICHARDSON
Cameron was born in Baton Rouge, raised in New Jersey, and enjoyed a childhood in Suburbia. As a teenager, Cameron got a taste of New York and decided to move there to pursue a career in modeling. After a year of struggling and waitressing to make ends meet, the modeling ball got rolling. Cameron loved being a model because it enabled her to travel the world and discover new places and friends. After 3 years she landed her first t.v. show which filmed out West. She moved to California at 21 and worked in t.v. as well as films. Almost two years ago, Cameron and her baby dad, Ben Shulman, had their first son, Milo. Cameron lights up when she talks about him. She said that having Milo completely changed her and made her whole. She lives a simple life surrounded by great friends and a beautiful family.
1. Favorite keepsake given to you by a family member?
My mom’s knee high brown leather high heel boots from the 80s…they’re amazing!
2. Do you have a memory of an amazing deal you’ve gotten? At home or abroad?
The best deal I’ve ever gotten was when I flew to The Maldives for work. It was a 20 hour flight (or something) on Emirates airline and they upgraded me to first class for free… I felt like Princess Jasmin.
3. What items in your closet can you not live without?
I can’t live without my Rebecca Minkoff brown suede booties and my Blu Moon hippie gear. I think I would melt without it.
4. Favorite online shops?
Ummm… Planet Blue (obviously), Amazon.com, and diapers.com hahaha! I never have to leave the house.
5. If you could come back as one of histories fashion icons, who would it be?
Bardot… Definitely Brigitte Bardot
6. Are you currently saving up for something special?
I’m saving up for my son’s college education, and some Isabel Marant black booties. Priorities right? :)
7. Sweetest or most sentimental gift a BF ever gave you?
My bf Aggy gives me her ear and listens to my problems without any judgments and just loves me.
8. Favorite outfit when in doubt?
Leather jacket over a floral dress… No fail!
9. Beauty regime? Favorite products?
I use face wash and moisturizer from Wholefoods called Derma e, and Dr. Hauschka eye cream. I put Neosporin on my zits, and I use Alba coconut lotion for all over my body.
10. Do you have a favorite scent? Do you stick to one perfume or change it up?
I found my favorite scent from a Diptyque candle that was burning at a friend’s house and then I found that they made the same scent in a perfume. Fig is my fave. It’s very natural and not overbearing. I switch from vanilla/coconut smells to fig.
11. Was there ever a time you should have been in the FASHION POLICE Report? And what were you wearing?
I once went to the Victoria Secret fashion show and wore a pair of high waisted bell bottom pants with a vintage sparkly top. I thought I was being high fashion… Nope. Stick to hippie dresses Cameron.
12. When do you feel most glamorous?
I feel the most glamorous when, Sarah Lucero, my make-up artist puts false eyelashes on me. Makes me feel like a lil doll.
13. Tell me your make-up routine to glam up?
When I glam it up, a smokey eye and falsies (yay) with pale lips, or simple eyes with Dragon Girl (red) by Nars.
14. Favorite Country or City visited so far?
I love going to Costa Rica. My girlfriend, Maria, has a surf camp down there that is amazing called, Del Mar Surf Camp. It’s my heaven on Earth! Yoga, surfing, horseback riding, massages, pedicures, AND rice and beans.
